Inspired by his father’s work in the Foreign Service in Agriculture whose mission was to feed the world and serve others, Craig’s career is rooted in a genuine desire to help others succeed. Tom is a travel physical therapy recruiter whose passion for the profession began as a competitive athlete. The positive energy and encouragement from his own therapists inspired him to pursue a PT career where he could offer the same support to others. Tom’s path to travel unfolded during PT school when he attended a seminar—working in diverse settings while exploring new places aligned perfectly with his personality. Through travel PT, he developed a broad professional network and gained valuable insight working with diverse clinical presentations, demographics, and business models. What excites Tom most is watching other PTs realize that the life of a traveler is like no other. He listens with intention, communicates transparently, and provides value beyond a contract to ensure PTs feel informed and empowered. Because CCI’s recruiting team consists entirely of DPTs and former travelers, Tom says CCI was “built by the people, for the people.” Based in Denver, Tom originally arrived on a travel contract. He has visited 15+ national parks, climbed the tallest U.S. mountains, and spent months in Europe, living out adventures many save for retirement, all with a fulfilling career.
David Bowen has practiced as a Doctor of Physical Therapy for eight years and has been a Therapist Advocate at CCI for over two years. Like his fellow DPT recruiters, David’s career path was shaped by his love of adventure and clinical growth. Alongside his spouse—also a DPT—David was drawn to travel PT as a way to explore the country while maintaining professional flexibility. What excites him most now is helping other therapists navigate travel assignments while bringing a PT’s perspective to bridge the gap between clinician expectations and market realities. David describes CCI’s culture as clinician-first, with a clinician-led approach and emphasis on authentic relationships. With Therapist Advocates who come from clinical backgrounds, there’s a shared understanding of the challenges therapists face. Residing near Baltimore, MD, David enjoys time on the waterfront with his wife, one-year-old son, and red heeler, Maple. He and his family have visited seven national parks, taking full advantage of what travel therapy provides: making time for family, friends, and life’s most meaningful moments.
Billy Crist is a practicing DPT and Therapist Advocate at CCI with eight years of travel therapy experience. Initially drawn to increased income and the opportunity to explore new locations, Billy discovered that travel therapy became a meaningful lifestyle—one he shared with his wife, who is also a DPT. Exposure to varied patient populations, clinic cultures, and clinical expectations allowed him to develop a broad skillset and strong problem-solving abilities. Billy’s experience managing six figures of student loan debt, purchasing a home while traveling, and owning rental property has given him solid financial expertise. His clinical background enables him to offer real-world advice on both career and financial planning. What excites Billy most is helping other therapists experience these same benefits. He describes CCI as refreshingly different—conversations are never rushed, and the recruitment team of all DPTs uniquely positions CCI to advocate for therapists. Based in Virginia, Billy enjoys an active lifestyle with his wife. Their years traveling together have taught him how to successfully navigate life and career on the road, fueling his passion for sharing this knowledge with other PTs.
Jot is a Doctor of Physical Therapy and Therapist Advocate at CCI. His career is rooted in clinical experience and a deep appreciation for the autonomy travel therapy provides—offering control over your career and lifestyle that most permanent roles don’t. Jot’s recruiting approach focuses on sharing real experiences to help therapists feel understood. For him, being a resource means being present and accessible, whether therapists need guidance, support, or just someone to listen. He describes CCI as prioritizing long-term relationships over volume, ensuring roles are the right fit professionally, financially, and personally. Based in Denver, Jot enjoys off-roading, hiking, and snowboarding with his 12-year-old pitbull, Elena. Through travel therapy, he’s snowboarded across five states while building meaningful friendships—reinforcing his belief that travel therapy is a lifestyle creating professional growth, personal fulfillment, and lasting community.
